VFW Post Presents American Flags to Local Mission BBQ
Recently members of the Walter Dymarczyk VFW Memorial Post 12106 Branford presented 300 American Flags to Angel Ramirez, Manager of the Mission BBQ restaurant in Orange. Chuck Larkins & Bill Savastano representing their VFW had been doing this for several years & in turn the Management at Mission BBQ gives the flags to their patrons.
The mission of the restaurant is to serve authentic – American BBQ nationwide – to those who make our country great – those who have served & those that are still serving the community as men & women in the military, firefighters, police & first responders &, of course, the community.
Anyone patronizing the restaurant knows the warm feeling you get from the staff & then again when you see the many photos of groups displayed all over the restaurant. Once you settle in & you are browsing the menu – if it happens to be high noon – all are asked to rise for the playing & Singing of Our National Anthem. We would like to tell everyone – that as Proud Americans & Veterans – “It Doesn't Get Better Than That.” We encourage anyone that likes BBQ & a warm friendly atmosphere – to stop by, settle in & sing along with the crowd, have some mouth-watering BBQ & starting Veterans Day, November 11th take home & display an American flag – it just may “Make Your Day.”
