Margaret Beauchamp Bucknall of Orange, passed away on March 30, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was born October 21, 1948 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Nowell Gene and Dr. Robert Beauchamp. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Bucknall for 53 years of love and partnership.

Margaret is survived by her husband, and daughters Emily (David) Luxeder and Elizabeth (Seth) Chicos and her beloved grandchildren William and Sean Luxeder, Alexandra and Jacqueline Chicos, and her brother, Jonathan Beauchamp. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Beauchamp.

Margaret grew up in Michigan and Illinois, she graduated from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Nursing Home Administration Program at Quinnipiac University.

She loved working with the elderly and had a lifetime vocation of over 40 years in long term care starting as a recreation supervisor progressing to a highly respected administrator of nursing homes, where she made many friends. In retirement, Margaret and Al traveled extensively in the USA and Europe, and she especially enjoyed a memorable 2022 trip to Ireland with Emily’s family and annual summer vacations with Liz’s family in Rhode Island. The great joy of her life and favorite memories are of the fun times she spent with her lively grandchildren, attending their sports, baking, and crafting.

The family thanks Griffin Hospital and the Center for Cancer Care including her Nurse Kim, Dr. A. Chaudhry, Dr. J Chung, and Dr. Y Zhang for their loving and compassionate care during her recent illness.
