Obituary: Linda Joyce Hackenjos

Linda Joyce Hackenjos of Jupiter, FL passed from this life on March 5, 2024. She was born in Elmhurst, Queens, to Eugene W. Walton and Alice (Demuth) Walton on August 10, 1943. In Elmhurst she met the love of her life, Walter, and was married on June 30, 1962. Shortly after the newlyweds moved to Milford and later, Orange. As a young housewife, Linda became the consummate homemaker, a role she loved in every way. Linda loved being a mother and grandmother, but above all loved being a wife.

Linda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter, her sons, Jeffrey Hackenjos (Paula) of Orange, CT, and Steven Hackenjos (Michelle) of Wesley Chapel, FL, as well as her grandsons, Deacon Daniel and Brian Hackenjos of Orange. She is also survived by her sister, Dale Walton of Elmhurst, NY, brother, Eugene Walton (Thomas Porto) of Miami, FL, as well as her nephews and niece; Gerard (Gayle) Damiano, Christar Damiano, Ralph and Robert Hackenjos. She is also survived by numerous grandnieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Damiano whom she missed deeply, as well as her brother-in-law, Ralph Hackenjos.

Visiting Hours will take place at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St. Jupiter, FL from 10-11 AM on March 20, 2024, followed by a celebration of life at 11 AM.
