Mary L. Tracy School, Town of Orange, is now open for kindergarten registration. Mary L. Tracy School is home to all kindergarten students in the Town of Orange. If you are a resident of Orange and your child is turning five on or before September 1, 2025, it is time to register for kindergarten.
David Allan French, 80, of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. David was born on February 3, 1944, in Bridgeport, CT and was the son of the late Earl French and Ruth Duncan.
More than 1,000 students are concluding their first semester at Eastern Connecticut State University this fall 2024. The new students include 808 first-time and 275 transfer students who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate-level programs.
Or Shalom hosted the Yom Hashoah program, Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday, May 5th for the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven. What an amazing turnout. Thank you to the Co- Chairs, Lynn Brothman and Gladys Horowitz and the whole Holocaust Memory Committee.

The Amity Board of Education would like to thank the support of the community for the successful passage of the 2024-2025 Amity Regional School District Budget. The final vote count across the three towns was 979 in favor and 407 against. Additionally, each town individually approved the budget.

The Town of Orange will be hosting an Independence Day Concert and Fireworks Display at the Orange Fairgrounds on Friday, July 5th. The rain date for the event is Sunday, July 7th.

Once again,and in time for Memorial Day, the Boy Scouts of troop 41 under the watchful eye of Scoutmaster Brian Cleveland and the guidance of our very own Senior Patrol Leader Seth Glassman, recently placed flags for our veterans in Congregation Or Shalom cemetery on Derby-Milford Road.

Anna Varholak, a member of Stonehill College’s Class of 2026 from Orange, CT, was recently honored at the institution’s Student Life Awards, held Sunday, April 28, 2024. Each year, this program celebrates campus community members for their outstanding contributions to the betterment of Stonehill.
