Amity Student Wins Junior Scholastic Map Contest

Congratulations to Nava Ismail-Beigi who was the grand-prize winner in Junior Scholastic’s “Can you Find Mapman?” Contest! Nava is an eighth grade student at Amity Middle School Orange. There were approximately 777 entries in the contest. Nava participated in this yearly contest by figuring out Mapman’s destination which was Quebec then had to create a map of the Canadian province. Each year a different location is chosen then submitted to Junior Scholastic in New York City.

Nava received a $250 prize and a Mapman T-shirt. Her social studies teacher, Jennifer Marganski also received a $250 prize.
