Come get it while it’s hot! On Saturday August 3 at 2:00 PM, the Friends of Case Memorial Library will host the soul-and-jazz singer Rhonda Denét. If August is not already warm enough for you, then come and hear Rhonda as she heats up her venue. This powerhouse serves up some sizzling soul in many forms: classic, contemporary, and original.

Denét’s talents emerged when she was just a child but then followed her into young adulthood. Other parents may have discouraged their children from majoring in the arts in college and told them to get a degree in accounting! However, her family and mentors encouraged her to pursue her dreams right into higher education.  First, Denét received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from NYU, and then a Master’s in Arts Administration from Florida State University’s School of Music.

In this concert Denét will be celebrating the “LADIES OF MOTOWN with a collection of hits by the female singing groups, solo artists, and songwriters who helped to introduce the world to the Motown sound.”  Who can forget those classics from the 1960s and 70s sung by The Supremes, The Marvelettes, Martha & The Vandellas, Mary Wells, Kim Weston, Tammi Terrell, and more?

Come and enjoy this red-hot event! In order to register, please call 203.891.2170 or visit www.casememoriallibrary.org.
