Achievements

James Madison University

Harrisonburg, VA - Orange, CT resident, Annika Lyngdal, has enrolled at James Madison University for the fall 2023 semester.  Lyngdal has selected Health Sciences - BS as a major.

Dean’s/President’s List

Bryant University

Smithfield, RI - Bryant University is pleased to recognize Kenneth Page of Orange for his unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement by naming him to the spring 2023 Dean’s List.  To earn a place on the Dean’s List students must have a GPA of 3.4 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.  Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

Clark University

Worcester, MA - Jake David Wajnowski, of Orange, CT, was named to second honors on the Clark University Dean’s List.  This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2023 semester.  Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Coastal Carolina University

Conway, SC - More than 1,000 students were named to the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University for the Spring 2023 semester, including Haley Cable, from Orange, CT.  Students who made the President’s List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.

Curry College

Milton, MA - Curry College congratulates roughly 900 students who were named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List.  Those from Orange, CT named to the Dean’s List are:  Henry Colby, Julia Loschiavo, Amanda Moran, Carlee Mulherin, and Gabriella Proto.

Eastern Connecticut State University

Willimantic, CT - Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester, in which nearly 1,300 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.  Among them is full-time student Gianna Santangelo of Orange, a senior who majors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology.  To qualify for Dean’s List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

Endicott College

Beverly, MA - A total of 370 Endicott College club and varsity student-athletes have been named to the 2023 Spring Semester Dean’s List.  Highlighting the group of 370 honorees were 64 student-athletes who achieved a 4.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) for the semester.  In order to qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a “C,” have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.  Those from Orange, CT who were named are:  Andrew Coscia, Criminal Justice major, John Neary, and Marketing Comm/Advertising major.

High Point University

High Point, NC - High Point University announces the students who qualified for the Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester by maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher.  Orange, CT students who have received Dean’s List certificates are as follows:  Jessica Yocher.

Quinnipiac University

Hamden, CT - The following Orange students were named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2023 semester at Quinnipiac University:  Chloe Hawkins, Brett Hutchison, Saliba Kaoud, Julia Lagoutis, Arity Morrison, and Mitchell Sousa.  To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C.  Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible.  Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.

Roger Williams University

Bristol, RI - Giana Guerra, of Orange, CT, has been named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I.  Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester.

Southern Connecticut State University

New Haven, CT - Congratulations to students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List  Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program must earn at least 12 credits, and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher to be eligible for Dean’s List each semester.  Garrett Yocher of Orange, CT, School of Business has been named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List.

The University of Scranton

Scranton, PA - Emma G. Tirollo of Orange was among more than 1,675 students named to The University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the 2023 spring semester.  A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean’s List.  Tirollo is a junior occupational therapy major in the University’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.

The University of Tampa

Tampa, FL - Sara Cable, of Orange, earned dean’s list honors at The University of Tampa for the Spring 2023 semester.  Cable is a Junior majoring in Nursing BSN.  Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

Tufts University

Medford, MA - Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester.  To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or greater.  The following Orange students earned Dean’s List honors:  Diya Aggarwa, Ameya Menta, Armaan Patel, and Nickolas Wawrzyniak.

University of Alabama

Tuscaloosa, AL - Ryan Gunning was named to The University of Alabama President’s List for spring semester 2023.  A total of 12,487 students enrolled during spring semester 2023 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all As).  The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.

University of Bridgeport

Bridgeport, CT - Shannon Mulherin, of Orange, was named to University of Bridgeport’s Spring 2023 President’s List.  Mulherin was among more than 300 students named to the Spring 2023 President’s List.  To be named to the President’s List, a student must maintain a term grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

University of Bridgeport

Bridgeport, CT - University of Bridgeport congratulates more than 300 students who were named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List.  To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have a term grade point average of between 3.2-3.69.  Nevaeh Colon and Uranik Klobucishta of Orange have been named to the Dean’s List.

University of Hartford

West Hartford, CT - The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the Orange students who have been named to the Dean’s List for Spring 2023.  Those named are:  Meghan Smith and Adriana Tufano.

University of New Haven

West Haven, CT – Matthew Whelan of Orange, CT has been named to the Spring 2023 University of New Haven’s Dean’s List.  He is the son of Mark and Stacey Whelan.

University of Maine

The University of Maine recognized Riley Palazzo for achieving Dean’s List honors in the spring 2023 semester.  To be eligible for the Full-time Dean’s List, a student must have completed 12 or more calculable credits in the semester and have earned a 3.50 or higher semester GPA.  Students who have part-time status during both the fall and spring semesters of a given academic year are eligible for Part-time Dean’s List.  They must have completed 12 or more calculable credits over both terms and have earned a combined GPA in those terms of 3.50 or higher.

University of Rhode Island

Kingston, RI - The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Spring 2023 Dean’s List.  To be included on the Dean’s List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.  Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.  Jenna Aconfora, Elizabeth Cohen, Jayson Hutchinson, and Pete Spodnick of Orange were named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List.

Washington University in St. Louis

St. Louis, MO - Monish Kumar of Orange, CT, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester at Washington University in St. Louis.  Kumar is enrolled in the McKelvey School of Engineering.  To qualify for the Dean’s List in the McKelvey School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.

Western New England University

Springfield, MA - Orange, CT resident, Colin Hughes, has been named to Western New England University’s Dean's List for the Spring 2023 semester.  Hughes, majoring in Finance, is one of over 570 students who achieved this mark of academic excellence.  Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

Wilkes University

Wilkes-Barre, PA - Andrea Delvecchio of Orange, CT was named to the Dean’s List at Wilkes University for the spring 2023 semester.  To be named to the Dean’s List, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Graduations

Eastern Connecticut State University

Willimantic, CT - More than 850 Eastern Connecticut State University students graduated in the 2022-23 academic year.  The University’s undergraduate ceremony occurred May 16 at the XL Center in Hartford, CT,  Kamron Bell of Orange graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Georgia Tech

Atlanta, GA - Vince Li of Orange, CT, has earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.  Li was among more than 5,300 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute’s 264th Commencement exercises May 5 - 6, 2023.

SUNY Cortland

Cortland, NY - SUNY Cortland is pleased to announce the graduation of Julia Hurlburt of Orange, CT.  Julia earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology this spring.

Syracuse University

Syracuse, NY - Sean Nusdeo from Orange, graduated from Syracuse University-School of Arts & Sciences and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, on May 14, 2023.  Nusdeo was among the nearly 6,000 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees in the Carrier Dome.  Congratulations to the graduates and their families.

The University of Tampa

Tampa, FL - Talia Barry, of Orange, graduated from The University of Tampa on Saturday, May 6.  Barry graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science-Biology BS.

Tufts University

Medford, MA - More than 2,800 students across all schools graduated from Tufts University on May 21 during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business, and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world.  Orange Graduates included:  Robert Jaques with a degree in Biopsychology (BS) and Dylan Mansourian with a degree in Biology (BS).

University of Vermont

Burlington, VT - Izabella Jones of Orange graduated from UVM with a bachelor’s in Psychological Science.

Western New England University

Springfield, MA - Western New England University held its undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 20 in the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center, celebrating the Class of 2023.  Congratulations and best wishes to the newest Golden Bear Alumni.  WNE is proud of you!  Colin Thomas Hughes of Orange, CT graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western New England University with a BSBA in Finance.  Colin also graduated with a minor in Enterprise Resource Planning with SAP.  Adam S. Leszczak of Orange, CT graduated from Western New England University with a BSE in Civil Engineering.
