Orange Local Graduates Second City Film School

Steve Kaplan graduated from The Second City Film school on December 16, 2022.  The ceremony was held on The Second City Mainstage.  The Second City is a world-renowned comedy institution that teaches improv, acting, and other performance/production skills for those seeking a career in the entertainment industry.  Some of its most notable alumni include:  Chris Farley, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, etc.  It is no small feat that Steve is graduating from a program at the same institution as these greats.

Steve was accepted into The Second City Film School, which is a highly specializ"ed program in the art of storytelling for television, film, and web series.  Steve is graduating from the Second City Film School where he created, wrote, and directed his own comedy film.

Steve co-created a 20-minute sketch show which was screened at the historic Music Box Theatre in Chicago on December 15, 2022.  Notable film makers and comedy creators from the Chicago area will be in attendance.  His show, “The Steve and Sug Show”, is a variety sketch show that mirrors other classic sketch shows such as Mr. Show and Key & Peele. “The Steve and Sug Show” explores identity through satire and Second City style sketch comedy.
