Obituary: Ruth Reizfeld

Ruth Reizfeld, daughter of the late Max and Sylvia Epstein Kustoff passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 7, 2024. Ruth was born in the Bronx, New York and was an active resident of Orange, Connecticut for 65 years. Aside from being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and stupendous friend to many, she was also a beloved, phenomenally caring teacher in the Ansonia school system at the Mead and Prendergast schools for over 35 years.

Ruth loved writing poetry in her retirement and has heard back from many presidents and celebrities thanking her for her impressive poems. At the age of 94, she continued to be very outgoing, friendly, loving, alert, and an incredibly astute individual.

Ruth was pre-deceased by her husband Adolf after 62 years of marriage. She is survived by her three dedicated and loving children who were her absolute pride and joy Naomi, Brian and Leonard. She also leaves behind two granddaughters. She is survived by her younger sister Annette and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was pre-deceased by her twin sister Pearl in 2023. The period of mourning will be private.
