The Friends of the Case Memorial Library is featuring impersonator, Leslie Goddard, who will portray Lizzie Borden, a Fall River, Massachusetts heiress accused, arrested and tried for the murder of her father and stepmother in 1892.  The program will be presented via Zoom on February 20 at 7:00pm.

Leslie Goddard portrays memorable women from the past.  She is an award-winning actress and scholar who tells historical stories, so that lessons from the past are entertaining and educational.  She holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in American Studies and a Master’s Degree in theater.  A former museum director, she is the author of two books on history and currently works as a full-time author and public speaker.  Her programs have been presented in museums, libraries, senior centers, clubs and organizations around the country.

As Lizzie Borden (Leslie Goddard) recounts what she knew about the horrible tragedy that occurred in her home on August 4, 1892 and became a national sensation, you can be the jury that decides whether or not you agree with the Fall River jury verdict.

Registration for this riveting crime program is required.  A link to the program will be sent on the afternoon of February 20.  Register at www.casememoriallibrary.org or call the Library at 203-891-2170 to secure your front row seat.
