Two young children with backpacks stand at their front door, ready to leave for school. Bright daylight illuminates the scene. This captures a typical morning departure from a suburban home.

Orange Youth Services, in conjunction with the Orange Fire Department and Orange Student Resource Officers, is offering a valuable program designed to equip 5th and 6th-grade students with essential skills for staying home alone safely. The Home Alone Program is a class focused on building confidence and responsibility in young students while providing peace of mind for parents and guardians.
