Crochet Club

For adults
The Hooked on the Sound Crochet Guild meets monthly to share stitch successes, assist with pattern problems, education, and generally have a great time crocheting. All skill levels are welcome. Bring any crochet project you are working on or one you may need help with. Please bring your own supplies. No registration is necessary.
Pride Month Take & Make Food Kit: Rainbow Gumdrops

Celebrate Pride Month with this tasty take-home food kit! Make your own flavored rainbow gumdrops at home. This kit includes most ingredients needed to make rainbow gumdrops as well as information on Pride Month, Pride flags, and a list of books for all ages curated by our librarians featuring characters and authors who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Each month that you register you will pick up a box containing two books selected by our librarians based on your reading preferences for you to borrow as well as some treats and others surprises for you to keep. The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison has been one of the top 10 most challenged books for the last decade. Join librarian Rebecca and co-leader Elizabeth Ewen as we discuss this as a work of literature as well as an object of censorship. This program will be held in person at the Library. The Hot Ones Challenge will consist of increasingly spicy chicken nuggets covered with sauces from the official Hot Ones Challenge. The winner is the one that makes it through all the rounds without having to cool down. Challenge your friends or come to cheer on participants. Holiday Closings: The Library will be closed on Saturday, May 27 and Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.
