Ribbon Cutting

Bulldog Swim Academy opened its doors and dived into the Orange community yesterday by holding a packed house, grand opening ribbon cutting.

Located at 200 Indian River Road (former Christmas Tree Plaza), Bulldog Swim Academy is owned by Adriana and Kyle Schack, a local couple fueled by their love for swimming and dedication to community service.  Adriana is a former Mexican Olympian whose life has been transformed by swimming. Kyle is an associate head coach of swimming at Yale University.

Bulldog Swim Academy owners Kyle and Adriana Schack join Orange Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Barry Lee Cohen to celebrate the grand opening.

Kyle Schack thanked their team of 30 expert instructors and water professionals, business partners, and family who spent countless hours over the last eighteen months to convert a former retail space into a 9,000 sq. foot, state-of-the-art facility. He also recognized the Orange Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Orange for their support.

With an existing, successful Bulldog Swim Academy located in New Haven on the Albertus Magnus College campus, this additional Orange location boasts competitive and instructional pools, each designed to cater to diverse learning needs. A pristine viewing area is also available for children's parties, along with private dressing stalls, an electronic scoreboard, and other amenities.

Ribbon Cutting

The Schacks were joined at the ribbon cutting by Orange Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Barry Lee Cohen; Economic Development Corporation Executive Director, Annemarie Sliby; Chamber Board Member, Sarah McGovern of Halcyon Travel Company, and: clients, staff, and family to celebrate this important milestone in their business and mission "to empower individuals with essential water safety skills while promoting a lifelong love for swimming."

Cohen said, "The significant financial investment made by Adriana and Kyle to transform this once-dormant space is more than mere dollars, but tangibly demonstrates a sense of responsibility and long-term commitment to Orange and their students throughout the region."
