Announcing The Chance Thompson Memorial Scholarship

The Orange Historical Society invites your students to apply for a scholarship in memory of Chance Thompson, a remarkable student who was dedicated to the history of her local town.

The Society will award one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who meets the criteria below:

• The successful student must reside in Orange, CT;
• The successful student will submit an essay of between 500-1,000 words on the following topic:

If you could have a conversation with one former 18^th or 19^th Century Orange resident, whom would you choose and why?  What would you want to know?

Applications and essays must be received at the above address no later than March 8, 2024.
