24th Annual Elementary Schools Celebration of the Arts Festival

Emma Gulliford and Sam Feliconio, both sixth-grade students at The Peck Place School, received the 2023 Outstanding Arts Award at the 24th Annual Elementary Schools Celebration of the Arts Festival.  The celebration was held at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, Connecticut.  The Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) sponsors this annual event, which recognizes two outstanding students in the highest grade level of each of Connecticut’s elementary schools who have excelled in the visual or performing arts and exhibit high levels of citizenship and cooperative skills.

Our honorees were able to enjoy the festivities with their art and music teachers, principal, and parents during the Elementary Schools Celebration of the Arts Festival.  The festivities included a delicious buffet, face painters, caricaturists, a photo booth, and an informational presentation on the art of puppetry by Flock Theatre.  The Peck Place School community is proud of all their students, especially Emma and Sam for receiving this award.
