Suicide Awareness Workshop
The Alliance for Prevention and Wellness (APW) will be presenting a suicide prevention training on 1/30/20 from 6:30-8pm at HPCC. This is a community event for high school age students and adults. APW trained staff will provide QPR-Question, Persuade, Refer–Training, described as “3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.” A flyer with a sign-up link will be posted in the coming weeks.
Afternoon Craft

8th Grade B.O.W. Party
SAVE THE DATE!! Orange Youth Services is pairing up w/Woodbridge Youth Services to bring you a B.O.W. 8th grade Mardi Gras themed Party! 2/21/20 (snow date 2/28) from 6:30-8:30pm at Amity High School in the Café. Come meet your future classmates, wear a Mardi Gras hat or mask & have a blast. Admission is $5. Pre-register to receive an extra raffle ticket. Tutoring Program
Youth Services has TWO SPOTS AVAILABLE for the Intergenerational Tutoring Program. Retired teachers are available to tutor any subject for students in grades 3-6. Tutors meet at the Case Memorial Library on Thursdays from 3:45-4:30pm. Transportation is not provided. Contact 203-891-4785 for an application.
Job Bank
Interested in actual paid work experience? The Job Bank is an employment referral service for Orange students, ages 13-16. The program offers a sense of responsibility while providing needed services to residents of Orange. Jobs include yard work, raking, shoveling, babysitting, and more. Call for a Job Bank application.
