Classes are ongoing except for holidays. Schedule may be different in April so check with Woodbridge Recreation’s website or 203-389-3446. The morning classes move from standing postures to the floor, and for those with sensitive knees, we omit any exercise on the knees. Standing, we stretch and practice balances and mobilize all the joints of our body. Sitting and lying down, we focus on shoulder and hip flexibility and abdominal strength. Throughout the class we emphasize developing spinal strength and flexibility and breathing practices to enhance stamina and overall ease of body and mind. We end with a relaxation practice and brief meditation.
Where: Room 16 Old Center School between Woodbridge Library and Town Hall. Enter either side door nearest the street.
When: Mondays and Wednesdays 10:30-11:45 and Monday evening 5:30-6:45.
