The Friends Spring Book Sale

The Friends Spring Book Sale

Are you tired of winter and looking forward to spring and summer?  How’s that resolution to eat healthier and stay fit going?  Need help?  Then come to the Friends of the Case Memorial Library Book Sale.  The Members Only Preview Sale is on Thursday, March 21, from 4-7 p.m.  Not a member?  Join that evening.  On Friday, March 22, the hours are 1-4 p.m.  On Saturday, March 23, the hours are 10-3 p.m.  Finding the time to attend is no problem with these hours.

You’ll find that we have selected our best books and placed them on specially marked tables.  There will be books suitable for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and graduation gift giving.  How about garden books to help you prepare for all your flowers and vegetables?  There are also cookbooks with recipes for healthy eating.  And let’s not forget about summer travel.  There are beautiful books highlighting different countries and cities.  How can you resist?

This sale will also include a BYOB – Bring Your Own Bag – no limitations on size – to carry away as many of the Library’s withdrawn books as possible for the incredible price of $5.00 a bag!  There are boxes of books just waiting to be perused.

The Friends depend upon your generosity to donate “gently used” books throughout the year.  Remember, we cannot accept magazines, old travel guides, cassettes, VHS, or books that are mildewed or water damaged.

All proceeds from these sales fund many programs your children enjoy as well as the music programs, museum passes, and our scholarship for a graduating senior.  Please consider becoming a member of the Friends.  You can be as active as you want.  Sorting books happens every Wednesday morning.  Book sales occur three times a year.  Board members complete their terms and new members are needed.

Let’s make the Library a true “cultural center” for the town.  See you at “The Sale!”
