Achievements

Hart School of James Madison University

Congratulations to the 2018-19 Hart School’s Most Outstanding Seniors: Alex Bunnell and Natalie Pyne.  The students were recognized as part of the annual Senior Sendoff reception.  These two outstanding young people are Amity 2015 graduates, and by amazing coincidence were both selected to be honored by the Hart School of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia!  Alex is a lifelong Orange resident; Natalie is a Woodbridge resident.  They both have their many impressive accomplishments listed on LinkedIn.

University of Connecticut

Baton Rouge, LA—Sarah Turner of Orange, Connecticut, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society.  Turner was initiated at University of Connecticut.  Turner is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.  Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.  Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.  Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Dean’s List

Fairleigh Dickinson University

Madison, NJ—Elise Graham, of Orange, CT, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ has been named to the Dean’’s List for the Fall 2018 semester.  To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours.

Fairfield, CT – Alayna Catherine Dixson of Orange received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising and Digital Design at Sacred Heart University’s 53rd Annual Commencement held on May 11 and 12, 2019.

Honors List

Fairleigh Dickinson University

Madison, NJ—Katelyn Ide, of Orange, CT, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ, has been named to the Honors List for the Fall 2018 semester.  To qualify for the Honors List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).
