Orange Resident Nina G. Waskiewicz Receives Academic Honors
Boston, Mass. – Northeastern University is pleased to recognize those students who distinguish themselves academically during the course of the school year. Orange resident Nina G. Waskiewicz, majoring in Business Administration, was recently named to the University’s dean’s list for the spring semester, which ended in May 2015. To achieve the dean’s list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career.
Eastern Connecticut State University Releases List Of Newly Enrolled Students
Willimantic, CT—Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its list of students who have enrolled for the fall 2015 semester. Those students from Orange are: Sophia Daskalon, major is Business Administration; Francis DeGennaro, major is Business Administration; Matthew Evarts, major is Sport & Leisure Management; Minjoo Kim, major is Labor Relatns/Human Resources Management; Mollee Lasto, major is Health Sciences; Dominic Livoti, major is Environmental Earth Science; Holly Scheck, major is History; and Megan Steigleder, major is Exploratory Social Sciences.
Williams College Announces Phi Beta Kappa Selections
Williamstown, Mass. — Twenty-seven members of the Williams College Class of 2016 have been elected into Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society. Membership signifies top academic success at institutions of higher learning across the country. Based on cumulative grade point average at the end of their junior year, the top five percent of students in a given class are selected for Phi Beta Kappa membership. The following Orange student is this year’s Phi Beta Kappa members: Brian Astrachan, political science and Russian.
