Ray Tuccio was born in Bridgeport and grew up in Fairfield, where he attended Fairfield High School before enlisting in the United States Coast Guard. As a Boatswain’s Mate, Ray enforced federal laws and regulations while also performing maritime search and rescue operations off of the Maine coast.
After being honorably discharged from the Coast Guard, Ray obtained his undergraduate degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and then his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, New York. Ray has practiced civil litigation since his admission to the Connecticut bar in 2008. He moved to Orange with his wife and two children in 2013 after being attracted to the town by its active community and outstanding public school system. It is that reason that Ray is interested in serving on the Amity Board of Education, not to just maintain a great system but to help it grow and be even better. Ray understands that it takes team work and vision and that the Democratic slate has the qualities and vision to move the district forward.
