
End of Year Activities
April – K-6 Art Exhibit
Children’s artwork was selected by their art teacher to be part of a special exhibit featuring artwork created by the kindergarten through sixth grade students of Orange Elementary Schools. This exhibit was displayed during the month of April at the Case Memorial Library and was co-sponsored by the Art in the Library Committee and Orange Youth Services. There was an Art Reception in honor of the exhibit held at the Case Memorial Library on Thursday, April 4, 2019. There were 92 pieces of artwork displayed.
May/June
Home Alone Program
Youth Services, in conjunction with the Orange Fire Marshal and Orange Police Department, held a Home Alone program for 6th grade students at Peck Place, Race Brook and Turkey Hill. Course materials covered a wide range of categories such as fire and personal safety, unwanted visitors, weather danger and student responsibilities.
Upcoming Event
August 21, 2019 – Incoming 7th Grade Picnic
Youth Services is hosting a summer picnic for students entering 7th grade on August 21, 2019 from 5:30-7:30pm at the High Plains Fairgrounds. The picnic will include food, games, contests and raffle prizes. The picnic will allow students from all three elementary schools to become acquainted before starting middle school together.
