Great people have tackled great obstacles. Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached the top of Mount Everest, while Robert Peary is generally credited as being first to visit the North Pole. Of course we all know that Neil Armstrong was the first to set foot on the moon. Well, Orange is going to tackle our own insurmountable task. Denise Stein and Dennis Marsh will co-captain the Orange Community Services Ragnar Team to run the Cape Cod race on May 13-14, 2016. Ragnar is a 200 mile relay race. Each team is made up of 12 runners. Each runner will run 3 legs of the relay. The legs vary in distance from 3 to 12 miles. We will run all day Friday, all night long, and all day Saturday. We will not stop until we reach the end of the Cape. I want to invite you to be a part of the Orange Community Services team. We are inviting the entire community to show its support! We are looking for runners and sponsors.
Proceeds raised from the Orange team will go to the Town of Orange Community Assistance Fund. This fund is the Town’s Emergency Fuel Bank and Food Pantry that helps residents in need. We have 3 levels of sponsorship: Gold Level for $500, Silver Level for $250, or Individual Level $100. But let’s be honest, all dollar donations and any form of support is welcomed.
This venture is a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about our wonderful Town of Orange. Show your support for Team Orange when we take on the Cape, 200 Miles or Bust! For further information or questions, please contact Dennis Marsh, Senior Services Coordinator at (203) 891-4784 or email me at email@example.com. You can also speak to Denise Stein, Elderly Outreach/Municipal Agent (203) 891-4787 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
