OVNA Flu Clinics

The Orange Visiting Nurse Association invites you to attend one of their vaccination clinics here in Orange:

October 16, 2017 at High Plains Community Center, 1pm—3pm;

October 19, 2017 at OVNA office, 4:00pm – 7:00pm;

October 26 2017 at High Plains Community Center, 12pm—4pm; and

November 7 (Election Day) 8am-10am at HPCC; 1pm—3pm at MLT; 6pm—8pm at HPCC.

Yogalates Demo

Come join Traci Weber on Tuesday, October 24 from 10:30 – 11:30am. and try this dynamic technique that combines the best of yoga and pilates.  Yogalates is a safe and strong practice that improves overall health, strengthens, tones, and beautifies the body, while bringing quiet, calm and peace to the mind.  To register for this free potentially new class demo, call the Senior Center at (203) 891-4784.  You will need to bring your yoga mat!

Walk About Yoga Demo

Take your Yoga for a hike!  Join Traci Weber for a unique outdoor yoga class.  Combining yoga and a gentle hike is the perfect way to get healthy, strong, connect with nature and each other!  We will offer 2 demos to try.  Join us on Friday, October 20 & 27 from 9-10:15am at the High Plains Community Center grounds.  The group will meet and begin in the Pavilion.  If the weather is bad we will meet in room 15.

Wellness with ShopRite

ShopRite of Orange’s Registered Dietitian, Courtney Huggins, RD will lead a discussion with a dish to try on Monday, October 2 from 11:30-12:30pm.

Hot Lunch

The Orange Senior Center offers a lunch Monday through Friday, 11:30am – 12:00pm.  A $3.00 donation is suggested for persons 60 years and over.  To register call (203) 891-4765 before 1pm, the day before.

Cribbage Club

Join us on Mondays as the senior center and Assisted Living Services sponsor Cribbage Club Mondays from 1:00—3:00pm.  Mark Halliday of Assisted Living Services will instruct students on how to play cribbage for the first hour.  The second hour will be time to play.  Call (203) 891-4784 to reserve a seat!

Diabetes Talk

Molly from Life Bridge will speak during lunch on October 12 at 11:30.  She will be continuing her lecture on Diabetes.  Come for the talk and sign up for a lunch at (203) 891-4765.

Movie of the Month
