The Orange Scholarship Fund Association, begun in 1964, by the Orange PTA Council, has awarded close to $500,000 to deserving Orange graduating seniors attending Amity Regional High School, Platt Tech, and other private high schools in the local area.
Among the scholarships offered is its 2019 Ashley Krakowski Scholarship to be awarded to a student intending to pursue a career in a healthcare field. Scholarship criteria include financial need, academic achievement, community service, and leadership roles in organizations and activities. The application deadline is April 15th and the application can be obtained at the Career Center at Amity Regional High School or by logging in to this address: http://orangescholarshipfund.com. The scholarship will be awarded at the annual June meeting.
The Orange Scholarship Fund Association receives its funding from Orange businesses and professional and resident donors. If someone in your family has received a scholarship, why not “pay it forward” and donate so that these scholarships will continue to be offered? Donations can be sent to Orange Scholarship Fund Association, P.O. Box 1072, Orange, CT 06477-7072.
The group looks forward to receiving both applications and donations to continue its work.
