The Orange Arts and Culture Council is sponsoring a Fill the Frame Photo Contest for adults. The contest is open to amateur photographers over the age of 18. The subjects can be anything from nature to people to animals, etc.
Photographers can submit up to three images. Entries must be at least 8 by 10 and can be in color or black & white. All entries must be framed and ready to be hung, frames no smaller than 11 by 14 or larger than 16 by 20. Pictures may be matted and must be framed, wired and ready to hang. Photos must be original and photographed by the photographer submitting them.
There is a $10 entry fee for EACH image, checks payable to OACC. The photographer’s name, image title, category and phone number must be on the back of the frame.
All entries (with check) must be dropped off on Friday, November 30 between 3 pm and 4:30 pm. If you need to drop off earlier, leave entries in the First Selectman’s office.
Photos will be judged by the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association with prizes awarded for first, second and third place. Photos will be displayed at the Town Hall Gallery. This year there will be People’s Choice Voting. Between December 3 and 11 the public can go to the town hall to vote for their favorite image. On December 12 at 5 pm there will be a viewing and awards reception at Town Hall.
