The Orange Arts and Culture Council is sponsoring its 5th Annual Youth Concert, to be held on Sunday, November 22 from 3 to 5 pm at the Eastbound Theater, 40 Factory Lane, Milford. The concert will feature youth artists in performance from the local area.
This year funds raised from the concert will be used to help fund the Amity Creative Theater (ACT) students’ trip to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2016. According to Elyse Gusciora, co-president of PACT, the Parents of Amity Creative Theater, “This is the second time in four years that the Amity High School drama department, under the direction of Robert Kennedy, was nominated and selected to perform at this venue and participate in this program through the American High School Theatre Festival. Only a very small percentage of schools receive nominations from the USA and Canada annually. This is a very prestigious honor,” said Gusciora.
The Orange Arts and Culture Council was founded in 2006 to promote continuing artistic and cultural expression of all kinds, coordinating the efforts of arts and civic organizations to enrich the cultural life of our community.
Light refreshments will be served at the concert. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission and $10 for Orange Arts and Culture Council members. They may be purchased at the door or by contacting Pat Miller at 203-397-8915.
