Betty passed-away peacefully on January 10, 2017. She was born on April 15, 1929. Betty resided in Ansonia and Orange (Maplewood) before recently moving to Seymour. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James.
Betty was the loving mother of Thomas (Maryellen) Burns, James (Nancy), Patricia (Stan) Biga), Melanie (John) Gramesty), and Robert Burns. Betty is also survived by her grandsons Jeff Biga, James Burns, Mathew Gramesty, and Eric and Evan Mau, and her only granddaughter, Kristen Puglisi, and one great-grandson, Joseph Puglisi as well as several nieces and nephews.
Betty is survived by a sister, Anne Zuraw and sisters-in-law, Joyce Barney, Kay Badarick and Stella Burns. She was predeceased by brothers, Michael and Peter, and sisters, Mary, Millie, Tillie, Helen, and Janice. She was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Dr. Alicia Stanton Burns.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on January 14, 2017 at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
