OACC Sponsoring 8th Annual Youth Concert

The Orange Arts and Culture Council is sponsoring its 8th Annual Youth Concert to be held on Sunday, November 19 from 3 to 5 pm at the Eastbound Theater, 40 Factory Lane, Milford.  The concert will feature youth artists in performance from Orange and surrounding towns.

The performers include brother and sister pianists Julie and Jason Chen.  In addition, Julie is going to sing a song in Chinese this year that was very popular in China.  Also performing are Emily Killean, Lisa Stockwell and Brynn Wiersman.  James Teti is the accompanist.

The Orange Arts and Culture Council was founded in 2006 to promote continuing artistic and cultural expression of all kinds, coordinating the efforts of arts and civic organizations to enrich the cultural life of our community.  In addition to the Annual Youth Concert, some of the organization’s projects include:  Build A Better Birdhouse – Orange Country Fair, Kindness Rock Garden, Gallery at Town Hall, New Haven Symphony Orchestra Bus, Picture This Photo Contest for Youth and Fill The Frame Photo Contest for Adults.

The Youth Concert includes a raffle.  Light refreshments will be served.  Admission for the event is $15.  For tickets or to make a reservation, call Rae McLellan at 203-298-0766.  Tickets will also be available at door.  Checks payable to OACC can be sent to:  OACC, P.O.
