New Monthly Drama Workshop Series for Children at Case Memorial Library

Learn the power of storytelling by becoming part of the tale yourself!  Ingrid Schaeffer of Creative Dramatics will present a monthly series of drama workshops for children at Case Memorial Library starting in October.  Each session will begin with theater games and improvisational exercises.  Then, participants will listen to the story chosen for the workshop, choose which roles they would like to play, and add costume pieces.  The group will act out the narrative together and then complete a fun visual arts activity.  Program dates are listed below.  Registration will open three weeks in advance of the program date:

  • Saturday, October 21, 2017: 2:00-3:30PM: The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything
  • Saturday, November 18, 2017: 2:00-3:30PM: Turkey Trouble
  • Saturday, December 2, 2017: 2:00-3:30PM: The Magical Toy Shop
  • Tuesday, February 20, 2018: 1:30-3:00PM: The Fir Tree
  • Saturday, April 21, 2018: 2:00-3:30PM: The Rainbow Fish

This monthly drama workshop series is generously funded by a grant from the Orange Foundation Trust U/A, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee.  Registration is required.  Stop by the Children’s Room or call (203) 891-2170 to reserve your space!
