I’m asking for your vote so that I may serve a fourteenth consecutive term on the Orange Board of Selectmen, including three terms as First Selectman. I enjoy representing our town and making Orange a better community for all our residents and businesses. In addition to being elected as both a Selectman and First Selectman, I have served twelve years on the Town Plan and Zoning Commission and ten years as Chair of the Inland Wetlands and Water Courses Commission.

Most recently, I serve as the Chair of the Orange Recycling Committee, where we have promoted recycling and sustainability in our town by obtaining large trash and recycling bins for the fairgrounds, installing new signage at the Transfer Station and Recycling Center, and promoting textile recycling and shredding events.

For several years I have been a member of the Bond Oversight Committee, which monitored the Derby-Milford Road Bridge re-construction, School renovation projects, the High Plains South Wing, and the Town Pool Locker Room.

I also serve as the Board of Selectmen representative on the Pension Board, am an associate member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, and volunteer each year at the raffle ticket booth at the Orange Fireman’s Carnival.

I am employed as the Director of Human Resources for the Town of Guilford working with municipal personnel issues, labor contracts, employee benefits, risk management, and retirement programs. I am also the current President of the Connecticut Public Employer Labor Relations Association (ConnPELRA).

I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Muhlenberg College, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. in Management from the University of New Haven. In addition, I teach Public Administration and Labor Relations as an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven.

My wife Abby and I live on Drummond Road, where we have raised our son Carl and our daughter Shayna, who both went through the Orange and Amity school systems.

Finally, I have a passion for the Town of Orange, and enjoy giving back to our community. I am proud to be a Selectman and with your support on Tuesday, November 5th, I hope to continue doing so for another two years.
