For me Orange has always been home. I grew up in Orange attending Peck Place School and Amity. While in middle school and high school, I got involved in Orange Government Access Television, OGAT. I started as its first cameraperson and was appointed to the OGAT committee as a non-voting student member. During my time working with OGAT, I taped all Board of Selectmen, Planning and Zoning, Board of Finance meetings.
After I graduated Amity, I attended Rochester Institute of Technology, where I received a bachelor degree in Information Technology. When I came back to Connecticut, I moved to Monroe. There I became involved with the land use commissions by joining its Inland Wetlands Commission. I spent five years on the commission, two as its Chairman.
I am excited to move back into my hometown. I’m running for Town Plan and Zoning because I want to give back to Orange. I believe I can bring my land use experience and new ideas to Orange’s Town Plan and Zoning commission.
