About The Program

Mental Health First Aid Training is an 8 hour interactive certification training course designed to give members of the public key skills to recognize, understand, respond and assist others who may be in distress experiencing mental health issues. This course covers the prevalence of mental health conditions in the US, the potential warning signs of the most common mental health conditions, a five step action plan to assist an individual in crisis and available resources.

Who Should Take Mental Health First Aid Training?

General public, employers, human resource professionals, business leaders, school personnel, educators, nurses, first responders, fire, police, case managers, primary care professional and anyone who is interested in learning about mental health and how to respond.

The course is free and includes a 3 year certification in Mental Health First Aid upon completion. (Attendance for both sessions is required for certification.)
