On January 17th, Mrs. Chyeon Ock Lee donated $1230 to the special education program of the Mary L. Tracy School. The proceeds came from a knitting exhibition at the Case Memorial Library that Mrs. Lee held, featuring knitted dolls that she knitted herself. Mrs. Lee began knitting in the summer of 2015, teaching herself through watching YouTube videos. Mrs. Lee has come to know of the Mary L Tracy special education program through her family friends, and her efforts have certainly made the community aware of a great program in our town.
The principal of Mary L Tracy, Principal Kai Byrd, said, “We are very excited to meet your friend, and grateful for all she is doing to support the program”. “Ms. Rosemary Slowik, director of the special education program (pictured above) adds, “We will put the donation into good use.”
