Letter: Helping Children Fighting Neuroblastoma

Letter: Helping Children Fighting Neuroblastoma

I am writing to ask your help in publicizing Ryan’s Rebels Fishing Derby June 3, 2017 from 9am to Noon at Twin Brooks Park in Ryan’s hometown of Trumbull, CT.  Ryan’s Rebels is a 501©3 nonprofit foundation that seeks to provide assistance to children and their families who are fighting neuroblastoma.  Ryan’s name roughly translates from Irish as “little king”.  Ryan Victor Joyce was indeed a brave and courageous little leader who fought this disease like a warrior for most of his 3.5 years on earth.  His parents, Michael and Caroline, and sister Clara miss him deeply each day.  No one will ever truly understand his family’s loss, which is why I find their actions in helping other families in need so inspiring.  It is the great privilege of my life to assist Michael and Caroline in turning their loss into positive action of helping others.

This event is an important fundraiser to help our organization fulfill its mission of helping children fighting neuroblastoma.  We are holding this fishing derby at a donation of $5 per child.  We are providing bait-children bring their own poles.  The funds raised will continue our support of families struggling against neuroblastoma.  Our mission includes:  financially assisting families seeking a natural approach, helping to offset costs associated with homeopathic or naturopathic physicians, providing healthy and nutritious meals to families whose children are in treatment, funding neuroblastoma research and support charities and individuals raising funds for childhood cancer research, and supporting interest specific events for childhood cancer patients.
