Orange is a wonderful town made up of leaders and volunteers. Each year in May the Orange Community Services honors three senior residents who have given so much of themselves for the betterment of our town. Nominations for Living Treasure are received from the community, and a committee of 4 residents pour through the nominations to select 3 to be honored. Past recipients have included Civic Leaders, Lion Club & Rotary Club members, as well as Town Commissioners, and Board members. The selected honorees will be the guest of honors at the annual Living Treasure Award Ceremony scheduled for May 24 at the Race Brook Country.
Now is the time to complete your nomination form and get it in. After all, there have been so many people who have giving so much to our town. This is a wonderful opportunity to say thank you and show them just how much we appreciated all they have done. Nomination forms can be found at the Orange Senior Center, Orange Town Hall and the town website: www.http://orange-ct.gov/782/Community-Services. Nominations are due in by March 1, 2019.
