Medicare Savings Plan Presentation

Veteran’s Appreciation Cabaret

Money Management

Come join us on November 12 at 9:30am.  Diane Fekete of CT In-Home Assistance has partnered with Cody White Funeral Home to plan what would you do in a medical emergency, through all the steps to return home and get back to normal.  She will walk us through from the ambulance, to the Hospital, Rehab, Home Care and even planning a funeral.  It will be a frank discussion on what you need to know.  Open to all.  Call the office to say you are coming!

Orange Arts & Cultural Council

The Orange Arts and Culture Council offers a free bus to the New Haven Symphony.  Join them November 14 for Beethoven & Adams.  The bus leaves High Plains at 6:45pm for Woolsey Hall, New Haven.  To reserve your spot on the bus call (203) 397-8915.

Diabetic and Geriatric Foot Care Presentation

Mind Fit from Home Care Assistance

New Haven Chamber Orchestra

Holiday Door Decorating

Clubs, Community Groups, Civic Organizations, Schools and Town Departments are invited to decorate one of the hallway doors at the Community Center for the annual Holiday Door Decorating Contest.  Stop by the Community Services office and pick up an entry form.  The entry deadline is November 27.  All doors need to be decorated by December 2.  Voting will take place between December 2 and 13.  The winner will be announced at Monday with Maplewood on December 16.

Classic Movie Friday

Special Veterans’ Movie Sgt. Stubby

All are welcome for this special showing on November 15 at 1:00pm when the American Legion presents “Sergeant Stubby,” the true story of a stray dog who joins his new master on the battlefields of the First World War.  Sgt. Holiday Dinner Dance

Afternoon Fun!

Arts & Crafts on Monday, Name 5 or Scattergories on Tuesdays, Mexican Train Dominos on Wednesdays, Bingo on Thursdays, Scrabble on Fridays at 1:00pm in the Cafe.  So, come on out and join us and be part of the fun!

Movie Club

Join us on a celluloid adventure!  Our group will discuss a current movie playing locally.  We will then meet to critique the film as we discuss the script, acting, cinematography and directing.  Meetings are held on the second Friday of the month at 3pm in the town conference room at the HPCC.

Hot Lunch

The Orange Senior Center offers a lunch Monday through Friday, 11:30am – 12:00pm.  A $3.00 donation is suggested for persons 60 years and over.  To register call (203) 891-4765 before 1pm, the day before.

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS at Westchester Broadway Theater
