Veterans’ Appreciation Pie Cabaret
Join us for a veteran’s recognition event in the Senior Café Monday, November 9. The program will start with Apple & Pumpkin Pie from Lyman Orchards at 1:30 pm. At 2:00 pm Clayton Allen will perform, singing various old country songs to show our appreciation to our veterans. Call the office to let us know you are coming!
Lions Club of Orange Thanksgiving Dinner
Each year the Lions Club of Orange hosts a Thanksgiving Dinner. All are welcomed. It will be held November 29, at 12:30pm in the High Plains Community Center Gym. To register call Kim at (203) 891-4788.
Holiday Door Decorating
Clubs, Community Groups, Civic Organizations, Schools and Town Departments are invited to decorate one of the hallway doors at the Community Center for the annual Holiday Door Decorating Contest. Stop by the Community Services office and pick up an entry form. The entry deadline is November 25. All doors need to be decorated by December 4. Voting will take place between December 4 and 13. The winner will be announced at the Holiday Cabaret on December 14.
Holiday Dinner Dance
Come join us at the Grassy Hill Lodge for our annual Senior Center Holiday Dinner Dance on Sunday, December 6 from 12 to 3:30. The Good 2 Go Band will be the musical entertainment from 1 to 3:30. The menu choices are Tuscan Chicken, Stuffed Sole, or Filet Mignon. There will be a cash bar. The cost this year will again be $20 per person. Many thanks to the generosity of the Olga Fund of the Orange Foundation who gave us a grant to pay for the music and to reduce the price of the ticket. Payment and meal choice must be made at the time of reservation. Tables will seat 8 to 10 persons. If you wish to be seated with particular people, payment for the group must be made at the same time. Checks are payable to Treasurer, Town of Orange. Tickets go on sale November 2.
Maplewood of Orange is our local Assisted Living. They will present a different dish once a month for you to sample. Be sure to let us know you are coming (203) 891-4784 then enjoy! The scheduled dates are: November 16, & December 14.

Election Day Van Service

Hot and Cold Lunches
The Orange Senior Center offers a hot lunch Monday through Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays a cold lunch option is also available. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, 11:30am – 12:00pm.
