Friends Add Holiday Book Sale And Mitten Tree

The Friends of the Case Memorial Library have added a new dimension to the Annual Festival Of Trees.  For the first time there will be special holiday books displayed near the Friends tree—all for sale.  The books, brought up from the treasure trove of books from the Friends’ sorted books in the basement—where the Great! Book Sales are held—all have a holiday or seasonal theme—Christmas, Chanukah, etc.  Books for children will include board books, picture books and chapter books.  For the older crowd there will be fiction and non-fiction books, including novels, collections of stories, cookbooks, craft books and decorating books.  All are in very good to excellent condition and could even be appropriate for gift giving.  The sale items will be near the Friends Tree—in front of the Reference Desk.  All children’s books are $1.00; adult books are $2.00—bargain prices for the holidays!  Customers can pay at the Circulation Desk.  Any books in the glass bookcase display can be purchased after the holidays.

Follow the signs to The Mitten Tree in the corner near the Friends Tree and the stairs.  Residents can help decorate a tree for a good cause by bringing in new mittens or gloves in all sizes to adorn the tree.  Please leave mittens (or gloves) attached to the mate for easy hanging on the tree.  After the trees are taken down, the donated items will be donated to shelters.  Please help keep everyone warm this year.  Bring in those mittens or gloves!  Follow the signs to the Mitten Tree!  Show your holiday spirit and contribute to this good cause.
