The “Conscious Cook” Comes to the Library

Join the Friends of the Case Memorial Library as they welcome Robin Glowa, the Conscious Cook, to a celebration of the “Fabulous Flavors of Fall” on Thursday, September 29, at 7:00. Early autumn is a glorious time for conscious cooking. There is still time to enjoy sensational late summer ingredients such as fat, juicy tomatoes and succulent sweet corn, even as the first crops of autumn, such as crisp apples, pears and so much more, become available. Come discover how to prepare delectably nutritious Fall dishes that will delight you and your family. Recipes will be available as well as plenty of tasting!

Robin Glowa, HHC, AADP, is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University Teacher’s College where she earned her certification in holistic health counseling. She specializes in teaching healthy cooking classes and presenting healthy eating programs to libraries, corporations, civic groups, and children’s organizations throughout the state. Glowa believes that everyone can enjoy a healthy lifestyle by cooking with and eating whole, natural local foods. She is the author of a wellness column called “The Conscious Cook” and occasionally explores the more decadent side of cooking and eating in her blog, “Confessions of A Conscious Cook” found at For more information visit her website

Registration is limited, must be in person at the library, and opens on September 7. All registrants will receive a ticket and will be able to register for only one other person. The Friends is pleased to offer this program that will encourage all of us to use local produce to create nutritious and delicious meals our families can enjoy.
