Connecticut England Beatles-Themed Music Festival Announces Special Guest of Honor

The “Fab 4 Music Festival,” Connecticut’s Beatles-themed indoor and outdoor Music, Food & Arts festival taking place on Saturday, June 10th, 2017, has announced its very special guest of honor.  Special Guest of Honor for the festival is Gene Cornish of The Rascals (and the Young Rascals), one of the greatest American rock & roll bands of the sixties.  Between 1966 and 1968, The Rascals reached the Top 20 with nine singles, including “Good Lovin’” and Groovin’”.  Lead guitarist Gene Cornish and the other members of The Rascals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 1997.  The Rascals were very connected to The Beatles as their manager, Sid Bernstein, was also the promoter who brought The Beatles to America in 1964 and produced the Shea Stadium concerts in 1965 and 1966.

In June of 1967, The Beatles released their historic album “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” and music was never the same.  It was the kick-off of the “Summer of Love” and the start of album rock.  50 years later, fans are celebrating that momentous event at the Toyota Oakdale Theater, 95 South Turnpike Road, Wallingford, CT, inside the “Pepperland” Dome and also outside on the “Octopus’s Garden” Patio.  Music will begin at 1pm and continue until 10pm.  The event is in its sixth year, and is a family-friendly event with live acts and attractions for all ages.

Special Guest of Honor Gene Cornish will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs, take photos with attendees and be part of the festivities.  Guests are encouraged to bring copies of their Rascals records to be signed.  Along with Gene Cornish, there will be a roster of performing talent that includes:  The Hofners, Mystery Tour, Penny Lane, The Oh Nos, Number Nine, The Taxmen, Rotary, BeatleHead, The WayBack Machine, Fools On The Hill, Pat Horgan & Thunder Road, Al Ferrante’s Country Gentlemen, Corporation TeeShirt, Dramatic Turn, Tim Palmieri (Beatles A-Z Show), Scott Ringle (formerly of the Blue Meanies), Tim Root (formerly of The Neatles), Double The Dial, David Tessier’s Pre-Fab Monkees All-Star Show, Jeffrey DiCera, Eric Herbst (of DizzyFish) and others.

All in all, there are twenty acts playing every era of Beatles music, including solo material, rarities, the best known, most-beloved classics, and related songs from the sixties and seventies.  For the first time ever, there is also a non-Beatles tribute act.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Sgt. Pepper and the year 1967, full-day advance “Ticket to Ride” admissions to the Fab 4 Music Festival start at only $19.67 and are available from the Oakdale Theater/LiveNation.com.  There are also V.I.P. tickets available.  Admission will be higher at the door.

The Fab 4 Music Festival is presented by Live Nation in association with Charles F. Rosenay!!!’s Liverpool Productions, the same company that presented “NYC FAB 50:  The Beatles’ 50th Anniversary Celebration” in New York City, and have produced Connecticut Beatles Conventions in the state since 1978.  They also organize the annual fan vacations to Liverpool and London known as the “Magical History Tour”.  The designated charity for the event is Concerts With Causes, Inc., based in Wallingford, CT.

With a full day of Beatleful fun and music, as The Beatles sang, “It’s Guaranteed to Raise a Smile”.  For further info, visit:  www.Fab4Musicfestival.com, email:  info@Fab4MusicFestival.com, or phone (203) 795-4737.
