Cohen and Wolf, P.C., a full-service law firm with four offices in Fairfield and New Haven counties, is pleased to announce that Suzanne B. Sutton, has become Of Counsel to the firm, joining our Professional Legal Ethics, Litigation and Bankruptcy Practice Groups. Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, P.C., Ms. Sutton spent approximately nine years at the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel and was appointed First Assistant Chief Disciplinary Counsel. She investigated, negotiated and prosecuted all matters of grievance complaints and unauthorized practice of law issues. Ms. Sutton often participates in legal ethics seminars and is an adjunct legal ethics professor at the University of Hartford. Her practice focuses on defending attorneys in the area of attorney discipline and professional malpractice.
In addition to grievance matters, Ms. Sutton has extensive experience in commercial law and bankruptcy. She has represented individuals and businesses in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 cases, and has served as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for the District of Connecticut.
Ms. Sutton received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and her Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and the United States District Court District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Professional Responsibility, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association.
