The Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 680 Racebrook Road, Orange, invites you to attend any of our upcoming services and events. All are welcome. Maundy Thursday’s Agape Meal and Foot Washing will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2015 @ 6:30 pm. This will be a joint service with The Rev. Tricia Pasly and the congregation from St. Andrew’s in Milford. It will include a modest dinner and foot washing to commemorate the Last Supper. On Good Friday, April 3rd, the church will be open for quiet meditation between the hours of 12noon-3pm. Stations of the Cross will be led by the Youth Group at 4:30 pm, including a “Walk the Way of the Cross” through the Good Shepherd neighborhood. In addition, Good Friday Penitential Rite with Reserved Sacrament will take place on Friday, April 3rd @ 7:00 pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd. The Great Vigil of Easter will take place on Saturday, April 4th @ 7:00 pm at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, located at 283 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford CT. Easter Sunday, April 5th, will be celebrated at the Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Tim Hodapp from the Connecticut Diocese at 7:45am & 10:00 am with the Choir. There will be no 9 am service on Easter Sunday. An Easter Egg Hunt will take place immediately following the 10:00 service for children of all ages.
In addition to services at the Church of the Good Shepherd, the public is invited to attend Chapel on the Green Easter Service on April 5, 2015 @ 2 pm in New Haven. Fifty-two Sundays a year and in every weather condition, Trinity’s Chapel on the New Haven Green is a unique outdoor gathering. The Church of the Good Shepherd and St. Andrews plan to participate in this service by bringing 200 bagged lunches to hand out after the service. All are welcome to help us prepare lunches at the Church of the Good Shepherd immediately following our 10am Easter service.
