October 1st, 2016: The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd welcomes fall with an exciting array of ongoing and new fellowship and worship activities. Worship times are Sundays at 8 am and 9:30 am.
Recreational Fun continues on Wednesday mornings in the Parish Hall from 10:30am to Noon.

Confirmation at The Good Shepherd Starts this Fall
Persons interested in being confirmed in the Episcopal Church should contact the office (203-795-6577) as soon as possible. Teenagers in 10th grade or above, and adults 18 years of age and older are encouraged to become students. The teenage program will last the academic year. The adult program will run for about four months. Join us as we learn about the rich history and tradition of the Episcopal Church, the deeper spiritual teachings of the Bible, and our call to work for the common good of all persons.
New at The Church of the Good Shepherd – Paint Social Fundraiser
Please join us on Friday, October 21st from 7-9pm in the Parish Hall. No experience required & beginners encouraged! Just follow along while our Paint Social Art painting Instructor guides you step-by-step through the selected painting in just about two hours. We provide all the painting supplies (16”x20” canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, easels, aprons) for a fun night out with your friends. At the end of the night, you go home with your completed painting ready to hang. Refreshments will be served. On Sunday, October 23rd The Episcopal Church Of The Good Shepherd Welcomes The Right Reverend Laura J. Ahrens for a Parochial Visit
This visit provides an opportunity for parishioners to discuss their common life together with Bishop Ahrens and for Bishop Ahrens to see what the parish is all about as well as meet with the Vestry. Bishop Ahrens will attend both the 8am and 9:30 am service and will receive and reaffirm members of the Parish. A pot luck brunch follows the 9:30 am service.
Save the Date! Sunday, October 2nd The Blessing of the Animals
All are welcome to bring their furry (and feathered and slimy) friends to The Church of the Good Shepherd on Sunday, October 2, 2016 for a blessing of our faithful companions. Please join us at our 8am and 9:30 am service and at 1 pm in front of the church on Racebrook Road with your animals leashed or in carriers. Stuffed animals and photographs of pets, living and deceased will also be blessed.
On Saturday, October 22nd At 9am We Walk The Good Shepherd Labyrinth Again With The Rev. Diana Rogers
Please join us for our monthly labyrinth walk. Used for spiritual meditation and contemplation, walking the labyrinth has been a spiritual exercise for centuries. Come learn more about this enduring spiritual practice. Meet at the labyrinth on the south side of the church off Pryde Drive at 9am, rain or shine.
The CGS Book Club Meets On The Last Tuesday Of The Month And Discusses A Different Book Every Month
