On Youth Sunday, June 5th, our 9:30 service will be led by the young people of the congregation filling the roles of readers, preachers, and Eucharistic assistants. Please join us as we mark God’s promise of renewal and hope through the ministry of our young people and the celebration of our new confirmands. All are welcome at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

Interested in learning more about the Gospel of Luke? This summer we will have an opportunity to study scripture using a combination individual/group method of gospel learning called The 50 Day Bible Challenge. Using a book of daily readings from Luke with reflections written by Episcopalians, prayers, and questions, we will work individually and then gather for a weekly group discussion at a time mutually convenient to the members of the group. Please contact the parish office at 203-795-6577 or at email@example.com to join us or with any questions.
Join The Rev. Diana Rogers on Saturday, June 18th at 9am to learn about walking The Good Shepherd’s labyrinth. The great pavement labyrinths first appeared in cathedrals like Chartres and Amien in the 12th through 14th centuries. Used for spiritual meditation and contemplation, walking the labyrinth has been a spiritual exercise for centuries. Come learn more about this enduring spiritual practice. Meet at the labyrinth on the south side of the church off Pryde Drive at 9am.
In June our popular Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on Wednesday, June 22nd at 6pm in the Parish Hall. Anyone interested in knitting or crocheting a prayer shawl for a person in need is welcome to join us. Open to the public, we craft all year-round and meet regularly. Our prayer shawls are blessed during a Sunday Eucharist and then distributed by our parishioners to friends, neighbors and family members in need and at area hospitals.
Please join us at 7pm on Wednesday June 29th for our monthly Healing Prayer with Holy Eucharist Service in the church. Enter by the front door. All are welcome.
