On September 23rd, 2016, Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care Center resident Evelyn Sidoti was honored with a 100th Birthday celebration at the Center. Mrs. Sidoti, a longtime Milfordite prior to moving to Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care, was born on September 23, 1916, in New York, New York. She moved to Milford, CT in the 1960s and became a member of the parish of Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church. She served others with passion as a Eucharistic Minister, giving communion not just to those attending Mass but also to those unable to attend due to illness or injury. She regularly led groups at local nursing homes in saying the Rosary, and is very proud to have cooked for the priests and deacons at the church for many years.
The guest list included Mrs. Sidoti’s family and friends, other facility residents, staff, and local and state politicians, including State Representatives Pam Staneski and Charles Ferraro.
Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care is a 60 bed skilled nursing center located conveniently on the Boston Post Road in Orange. It provides subacute rehabilitative and long-term care services, and has been family-owned and operated since its founding.
