The Orange Historical Society has worked for 15 years to ready the 1740 Bryan-Andrew House as a museum and place for groups to meet and families to enjoy while experiencing the colonial way of life. The house is open to the public and in addition to a fall luncheon with the Red Hat Ladies of Orange, the Milford Preservation Trust held their April Meeting complete with their pot luck supper and a tour of a Bryan House. Milford has several Bryan family homes, one of which was recently demolished and the group felt the need to visit one that is being saved and cherished for the future. Jan Clarke and Ginny Reinhard hosted the group of 22 in the evening when the house lights, furnishings and fire places made the evening a perfect place to experience history as it was in the 18th century. Anyone interested in planning a family get-together should contact Ginny Reinhard at 203 795-3106 for further details.
