Artsplace is currently accepting registrations for summer camps, classes and workshops for children, teens and adults from June 29 – August 1, 2015. All supplies are included. Camps, classes and workshops are taught by professional fine artists.
Students in grades one thru seven will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of seven day-long art camps such as Fantasy Creature, Wild, Wild West, Pirate, Crafts, Magical Kingdom, Fairytopia, Puppet Creature and Zombie Rombie Experience. Camps typically run from 9:00am to 2:00 or 3:00pm for four or five days in July. This year there are one-day mini camps offered for children K to grade 6 including Adventures in Bug Art!, The Animated Series, Painting on Canvas and Watercolor Fun.
Drawing classes are offered for children as well as teens and adults. Children’s workshops include animation, superhero design, cartooning, clay, Shibori (Japanese method of dying clothing), mobiles, mask making and many more. There are a large variety of classes for teens and adults, including oil painting, collage, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, pen & ink, pottery, portrait sculpture, botanical studies and felting. Family workshops include pottery, and needle-felting and Shibori.
