‘Diversity In Watercolor Paintings’
The Case Memorial Library’s “Art in the Library” program in September, 2016 will feature three local artists: Linda D’Onofrio, Lana Ho and Jeannette Jones. The three friends have all taken classes from Audrey Galer, but their life and paintings are uniquely different.
Linda D’Onofrio, a long time resident of Milford, CT was first introduced to watercolor through Elaine D’Andre in 2009. Her continued interest guided her to study with Audrey Galer, who has shown her the world of color mixed with different mediums. In addition to watercolor paintings, she discovered beauty through photography, which will also be exhibited.
Lana Ho, a long time resident of Orange, CT and a life member of The Garden Club of Orange, has turned to watercolor paintings in 2006 as an extension to her love of all things beautiful. Her paintings are noted for her use of colors.
Jeannette Jones, a native of West Harrison, NY studied sketching and Chinese brush stroke painting. Her love of art continued after moving to Milford, CT in 2007. She has taken watercolor painting with Ron Grobes and Audrey Galer; all the time learning to improve composition and values. Her particular interest lies in painting flowers and nature.
The public is invited to view this exhibit of ‘Diversity in Watercolor Paintings’ during the month of September, 2016 at Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, Orange, CT 06477. A reception will be held on September 8, 5 to 7 PM to meet the artists.
