New Haven, CT- The Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut is looking for individuals in our community who will celebrate their 100th birthday in 2016 or who have already passed this milestone. The Agency will host a special luncheon on May 4th to honor and celebrate the lives of these centenarians.

The AASCC holds this luncheon in recognition of Older Americans month. Older adults have made countless contributions and sacrifices to ensure a better life for future generations. Since 1963 communities across the country have shown their gratitude by celebrating Older Americans Month each May. This celebration recognizes older Americans for their contributions and demonstrates our nation’s commitment to helping them stay healthy and active.
This year’s them is Blaze a Trail. May is a month of fresh beginnings. Perennials bloom once again, blazing a trail of bright color. Older American’s Month acknowledges the perennial contributions of older adults to our nation.
